About our menus
The menus for Calliope Dinner Parties are, first and foremost, inspired by the season. We shop at local farmers markets (primarily the Tuesday & Saturday Rittenhouse Farmers Market and the Sunday Headhouse Square Farmers Market) and we talk to our purveyors, and based on availability we begin brainstorming about the menu. Read about our wonderful farmers and purveyors (and utilize them too!).
When you register for a dinner party, you will answer two questions that help us further shape the menu: the first concerns dietary modifications (most of which we can accommodate) and the second asks about something that inspires you (because you are our inspiration for these dinner parties).
We usually finalize the menu two days before the party, and then we will email you details about the menu along with our wine suggestions (and the location of the party!). Of course, some details are subject to change, based on late-breaking developments to all of the above (or an occasional mistake!).
We are open to — and excited about — constructing an entire menu around a dietary modification (e.g., vegan, gluten-free); if you have ideas, use our contact form to reach out. (And while you are there, sign up for our newsletter!)
